Sales team uses linguistic manipulation in the sales contracts, during the sales cycle, and afterwards. Be sure and have them define what "island license" vs. "self hosted" vs Cloud (Mega Meeting hosted). Regardless of what you think you are getting, your servers or "island license" still communicates with theirs and if they can't authenticate with their servers yours will not work according to sales. You are married for life with their servers / licensing and it is not a perpetual license...you will NEVER pay for the software (as a product). They sell this as a service only. There are better options out there.

In summary, I would not recommend Mega Meeting to a friend.

I used Megameeting to host a webinar for 50 of our clients. When it was time to kick off the webinar, the system didn't allow me to even login and start my webinar and people were on wait for over minutes. Finally, I had to ask the megameeting rep to start it for me and add me as a guest. I also asked him to hit the record button that we paid $299 for. The system noise was ridiculous; people were getting kicked out of the webinar room instantly. And at the end the rep told me that he accidently recorded another screen. This meeting would've generated over $25k in revenue for our company, but thanks to Megameeting, it was a very embarrassing mess. Save yourself the money and embarrassment and never use this system. The worst part is that after all this mess, the rep's response was as follows: "It wasn't [recorded]. I tried to record it but I recorded the wrong screen. To be fair I also asked you to train and practice ahead of time. You did not do either. I am happy to work with you on this or you cancel the account. Totally up to... (Read the full review)
