Copper Conferencing is a custom provider of web and audio conferencing solutions. They do not develop their own systems, but rather help you to design a solution that fits your needs. They can handle any size of business customer, from small businesses to enterprise organisations and provide 24x7 support. However, their company website does not mention any specific prices on how it resells the services it offers, and it is not clear exactly what value is added beyond going straight to the web conferencing providers themselves.
Copper Conferencing provide integrated web and audio conferencing solutions, but do not actually host the web conferences themselves. They resell packages from two not very well known web conferencing providers and combine it with their own audio conferencing facilities. The web conferencing tools themselves are not too bad and can scale up to large numbers of participants for big events. They provide all the usual features found in a web conferencing tool, such as desktop sharing, whiteboarding and webcam integration.
For communications during meetings there are a few different options for audio conferencing that can integrate with the web conferencing tools. The On Demand service bills you by the minute per line in the conference, but provides your guests with a toll free number to dial in with. The On Demand international service is similar, but provides local numbers for participants from different countries to dial in from. Finally, the unlimited monthly plans allow you unlimited conference calls, but your guests do not get a toll free or low cost number to dial.
Copper Conferencing also provide managed services for large scale web events. The specialist consultants are experienced in setting up the technology behind large events to be broadcast to thousands of users. This is an ideal service if you are unfamiliar with web conferencing and want to do an online product launch or sales demonstration.
We were slightly confused by what Copper Conferencing offers besides a combined web and audio conferencing service - which most web conferencing providers offer these days anyway. Most resellers and agents offer some sort of support and technical assistance with their standard solutions, but Copper Conferencing does not seem to. Their corporate website just seems to be aimed at getting you to buy a service through them instead of going directly to the provider, without explaining what added benefit you get. While Copper Conferencing does provide an adequate service, it is not completely up front about its pricing on its web site so you must get in touch for a quote, whereas similar services do give you some idea of a price before calling. We think there are better services in the same vein out there, and we have reviewed many of them in this category.
